It’s finally reveal day, and I’m beyond excited to share our transformed guest room with you. After months of planning, DIYs, sourcing, and styling, our minimalist cozy boho bedroom is complete, just in time for the Fall 2019 One Room Challenge. This beautiful space features a harmonious blend of neutral textures, terracotta pillows, boho greenery, brass wall sconces, and layered bedding. My aim was to create a space that would feel both clean and minimal, yet warm and welcoming at the same time. If you’re planning to create your own cozy boho bedroom, I hope you find this reveal inspiring and helpful.

My Experience with the One Room Challenge

This was my first time participating in the One Room Challenge as a guest participant, and I’ve absolutely loved every moment of it. The deadline and the energy from hundreds of fellow participants were just the motivation I needed to bring this space to life. If you’re new to my blog, you can catch up on my previous updates, which include:

Before the Transformation

To truly appreciate the transformation, let’s take a quick look back at our guest room before the makeover. While it wasn’t a space that needed a complete overhaul, it lacked coziness and character, and it just didn’t reflect my personal style. The room was missing essential elements like a headboard, rug, and window treatments. I had so much fun creating my mood board and imagining simple, budget-friendly ways to transform this space from meh to warm and inviting. I wanted to incorporate cozy textures, earthy tones, and natural elements like raw wood and greenery – all of which were influenced by the fall season.

The Reveal: Our Minimalist Cozy Boho Bedroom

And now, without further ado, I’m thrilled to share our guest room reveal with you. Keep reading for some side-by-side before and after photos, as well as product information.

I can hardly believe this is the same room! We’re absolutely thrilled with the transformation, and we can’t wait to have family come stay with us for the holidays. This cozy boho bedroom perfectly captures the essence of fall with warm and earthy tones – brass, rust, charcoal, and olive – paired with an abundance of cozy textures. While I didn’t set out to create an autumn-themed bedroom, it turned out that way, and I just love it. From a design perspective, the guest room is now much more balanced and visually interesting, with modern frames and cozy boho pillows and baskets contrasting the more traditional elements like the tufted headboard, charcoal nightstands, and brass sconces. A vintage-style rug adds character, and the layered bedding looks so much more inviting.

Before and After Photos

Here are a few comparison before and after photos:

– Lack of texture and interest
– No headboard or rug
– Simple, unstyled nightstands

After:
– Warm, earthy tones
– Cozy textures and layered bedding
– Statement headboard and vintage-style rug
– Styled nightstands with boho decor
